The preparation process for advertising photography is usually the most extensive and important. It directly impacts the quality of the final material and must be handled with great responsibility! Here’s what it can include:
• Concept development for the shoot: sketching, searching for references, and creating mood boards.
• Location scouting: organizing on-site shooting, searching for actors, and conducting casting.
• Appearance preparation: makeup and clothing, as well as searching for additional props for the shoot.
• Organization of the shooting space: logistics, team coordination, amenities, etc.
These are the key aspects to consider before an advertising photoshoot. Often, many issues resolve themselves, such as in advertising or corporate portrait photography, where I frequently utilize the company’s own resources, like locations, people on-site, and other details. During project discussions, I always strive to find the optimal solution.
